Baron Spider (クモ男爵 Kumo Danshaku) is the second boss in Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos, he is encountered at the end of Act 2-2, in the Lahja Mountains. He is much harder than Dando, but still possesses a simple attack pattern that can easily be exploited by using the Art of Flying Firewheels on him.

Abilities and Powers[]
Agility: The spider mutation gave Baron Spider the ability to match even a ninja in speed and acrobatics, allowing him to leap gracefully through the air at inhuman vertical heights.
Summon Tarantula: Baron Spider is able to summon and control tarantulas.
History[]
Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos[]
Baron Spider was originally one of the scientists at the Xabil Biological Research Institute doing research on a new species of tarantula spider, when he was bitten by one. As a result of this bite, he was transformed into a half-human/half-spider mutant. Although deformed by this accident, he found himself with the ability to move great distances through the air and summon giant tarantula spiders, able to control them as if they were his children. Ashtar noticed these abilities and took him into the Chaos Tribesmen where he became Baron Spider and Ashtar's right hand man.
Loyally devoted to Ashtar, Baron Spider lead an ambush on Ryu Hayabusa high up on the Lahja Mountains. Ryu managed to fight his way through Baron Spider's forces on the windy mountain, reaching Baron Spider at the top of the mountain for a one-on-one showdown. Baron Spider leaped through the air summoning his tarantula minions to attack the Ninja Dragon. With the Dragon Sword and Ninpo arts Ryu sliced and burnt the tarantulas to get at their source: Baron Spider. After a tough battle Baron Spider fell, but upon dying he revealed that Ashtar's forces were from the Chaos World and although he had fallen, his comrades would soon kill the Ninja Dragon.
