Ultimate technique

By holding the heavy attack button, Ryu will charge up his energy and release it in a devastating flurry of attacks on any unfortunate enemies in his reach. Whilst performing an ultimate technique, Ryu is invincible. There are two levels of Ultimate Technique, indicated by blue and red explosions when the respective levels are reached. Any essence orbs nearby are absorbed and used to fuel the attack, speeding up the charging process. Red and blue essences provide an instantaneous level two charge.

Obliteration technique

This powerful attack is used on an enemy who is injured or has lost a limb. After the initial attack Ryu will decapitate the enemy. If the foe's head is already gone, Ryu will stab or slash the enemy and then knock them over with a punch or a kick.
